Congratulations to Jody Bugbee, our 2016 HR Hero Award Winner!

The Granite State Human Resources Conference is excited to announce that Jody Bugbee has been named the 2016 HR Hero – an award presented annually to an individual who is selected by his/her peers as exemplary in three key areas: a strategic contributor to their employer, the HR volunteer sector, and the community.

This year’s HR Hero meets all of these criteria and then some.  Jody Bugbee is the VP of HR for Yankee Publishing, Inc. and is an integral member of the Company’s senior management team.  Jody has implemented new software systems, revolutionized the performance evaluations system, restructured their compensation systems, managed acquisitions, staff integrations and office relocations, and most importantly has managed to keep even long-term employees motivated and inspired.

Jody has also been active on the Greater Concord Human Resource Association board for more than six years and has served on the Granite State HR Conference Committee as Program Committee Chair.  Jody did an outstanding job leading that committee and developing great programs for the conference.

Jody recently took on the role of Chair of Greater Concord Human Resource Association’s Community Relations committee and has implemented a Speakers Bureau of HR Professionals. The most recent project Jody has undertaken is working with the students at Concord High School in career and resume development.

One important fact about Jody is that she works tirelessly in the background letting others shine.  When she takes on a project, she owns it.  She is one of many committed and hardworking professionals who do what they do not for the credit or the accolades but for the joy of contributing to her profession.

Her list of community activities is long and varied.  She not only presented at the New Journey program in the women’s prison, she participated in developing the curriculum.  She has also: Volunteered at the Concord Regional Technical Center; is her company’s United Way Campaign Coordinator; Participated in the Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure; Established the Berlin/Gorham Community Fund with NH Charitable Foundation; Volunteers at her Church and for local charitable, school and sports organizations.  The list goes on.

Her volunteerism demonstrates a true commitment to the community and promoting the HR Profession!  The Granite State HR Conference Board of Directors is proud to announce the 2016 HR Hero: Jody Bugbee.

Congratulations to Jody on this recognition for her many contributions to the HR community.
