This year’s recipient of the HR Hero Award, Peter Richard, the Corporate Controller at XMA Corporation, has been instrumental in leading the company through nearly two decades of transformative growth. Recently, under Peter's dynamic leadership, XMA was recognized as the #1 best place to work in New Hampshire, a testament to his commitment to fostering a workplace culture that values innovation, collaboration, and employee satisfaction. Specializing in manufacturing high-tech components critical to global connectivity across industries such as space exploration, military applications, cutting-edge telecommunications, and quantum computing, Peter has redefined operational strategies and cultivated a culture of innovation at XMA. His visionary leadership has propelled the company to new heights, expanding its market presence and solidifying its reputation as a pioneering force in the high-tech manufacturing sector. In addition to his professional achievements, Peter holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and is a graduate of Leadership New Hampshire and Leadership Greater Manchester. Beyond XMA, Peter is an active and dedicated member of his community. Serving as the Immediate Past President at the Manchester Area Human Resources Association (MAHRA) and contributing his expertise as a valued member of the board of directors for organizations like the Webster House Children’s Home, Manchester Heritage Commission, Manchester Historical Association, and the NH Tech Alliance, Peter actively supports the growth and well-being of the community. His dedication was recently acknowledged by the New Hampshire Union Leader, who named him among their "40 Under Forty" honorees. A native of New Hampshire, Peter resides in Manchester with his husband Dana and their dog, Topaz. Beyond his professional and community commitments, Peter enjoys a diverse range of interests, including traveling, golf, skiing, the performing arts, history, and spending quality time with friends and family.
