China Gorman

China started her career at the publisher of The Christian Science Monitor and then spent 20+ years in the HR consulting world specializing in the career transition, executive coaching, and leadership development arena as a business leader at the local, regional, national, and global levels. Many know China for her tenure as the CEO of the Great Place to Work Institute, the global consultancy dedicated to improving society by helping companies create better workplaces. Prior to Great Place to Work, she was the Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO for SHRM (The Society for Human Resource Management), the world’s largest professional association for human resource professionals with over 275,000 members in more than 140 countries.

China serves on a number of boards in the HR and education spaces. Current affiliations include chairing Globoforce‘s WorkHuman Advisory Board, Jobs for America’s Graduates, RiseSmart, Inc., and the Workforce Institute at Kronos.
