Hero Award
Our 2011 HR Hero Award Winner!
Congratulations to Dan Griffiths
Each day the HR Profession is asked to lead organizations through times of enormous change; whether it is navigating national health care reform, realigning talent as we recover from one of nation’s worst recessions or developing strategies to increase organizations competitiveness. We are relied upon to serve as advisors to our CEOs and ensure that our people philosophy is weaved into the fabric of our business philosophy. Each and everyday HR Professionals everywhere are hero’s to their organizations. One HR Professional in our state stands out as our 2011 HR Hero.
Our 2011 hero has demonstrated a passion for this profession through his many years of leadership to as the Director of our HR State Council and service to SHRM, Society of Human Resources Management. Our hero is the co-founder of the Greater Merrimack Valley HR Association which under his tutelage has grown from six at its inception to now over 140 members and growing. Following his successful term as President for the Greater Merrimack Valley HR Association our HERO accepted a role on the New Hampshire State Council and continues to serve SHRM nationally as an advisor.
His commitment to the community stretches beyond the HR as he gives generously to his community by volunteering. Our HERO volunteers for Debbie’s Treasure Chest and is a regular volunteer for Make a Wish. When asked to describe our HERO, a colleague described our HERO as a strategic visionary who exhibits passion for the profession and is making a difference in the HR Community. Many of you know our HERO and I am sure you will echo this sentiment that our HERO is a true leader to the HR community. To say our hero exudes passion for the profession is an understatement.
Please join me in congratulating our 2011 HR Hero Dan Griffiths!
